Isaiah 117
We partner with Isaiah 117, amongst other ministries, every month. We believe in their mission as they spread the love of Jesus to vulnerable children who desperately need it.
When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be a few hours to several days. These children often have nothing with them and are scared, lonely, hungry, and in dirty clothing.
Isaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes, smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement.
The mission of Isaiah 117 House is threefold:
- reduce trauma for children awaiting placement
- lighten the load for child welfare services
- ease the transition for foster families
Why Do We Give?
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. We believe that Jesus calls us to radical generosity, so we give out of the gladness of our hearts.

"And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ." - Philemon 1:6
God calls us to live generously through the tithe, returning the first 10% of our income (since it’s all already His, anyway) to the local church.
"Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need." - Malachi 3:10
